I hate doing this (As always) but I can’t pay rent for January. I’ve got less than $50 left, rent is $990, and we’re low too on food and about to start the slow season which means I expect my hours to be cut even further than they just were.

I won’t even be paid until after January begins, and I really don’t want to start the new year like this, nor end the current one having to beg, but I don’t really have a choice.

The 2019 ACA (Obamacare) enrollment period is November 1-December 15, 2018.

This period is 45 days instead of the 90 days under Obama, and will not be advertised as aggressively either—so be sure to share this around and get the word out!

And remember, if you lose your health insurance, get married, get divorced, have a baby, etc. etc.—basically, if you have big life changes that cause you to lose or fail to review your insurance coverage—you may be able to apply outside of the usual enrollment period. You can check if you qualify for a special enrollment period here.

Visual exhaustion is another symptom of ADHD, which means that if we see something enough times (or we see enough instances of something), it fades into background noise and we fail to notice it.

This is why a lot of ADHD people can stand living surrounded by mess/clutter, because it’s just visual background noise to us. We don’t even notice it anymore.

So if we write something down and see the note stuck up somewhere a lot – or if we write a LOT of somethings down and have a lot of notes hanging around – then we’re even less likely to think of/remember the thing because it’s just part of the scenery now.

ADHD is the Catch-22 of brains.

A very good thing to know about ADHD. Don’t fall into the trap.

A lot of folks in the comments are talking about writing on themselves or setting phone/calendar reminders. Your mileage may vary on those. You may also want to consider ways to set a habit of referring back to a planner or similar every day/hour.
